The Ballater Project was one of those that had even us standing back and saying "Wow!" This incredible space began as two smaller rooms...behind the stove wall there was a small office room...
...so the TFL team took down a load-bearing wall. The weight was then distributed to a load-bearing beam that was recessed into the ceiling. All new drywall and paint on the ceiling and new hardwood floors make the space one large, but cohesive unit...
Can lights were added into the ceiling. We sealed up the windows in what used to be the office room to make a back wall for the stove and vent hood. A large window was cut out into what was once the exterior wall, providing plenty of daylight over the sink and prep areas.
Brand new cabinets and white subway tile backsplash keep the space airy and bright.
The custom-painted cabinets on the 17-foot island give it a pop of color (we love our customers' choice of that gorgeous blue!).
Custom marble countertops add elegance.
A sliding, custom barn wood door adds rustic charm and serves a practical use by closing off a small office nook when not in use.
And floating, custom barn wood shelves on either side of the vent hood add a focal point to the room as well as serving as a beautiful storage and display area.
We are thankful to our customers for letting us work on making this beautiful kitchen a reality for them! We wish them many years of enjoyment in this space!
